21-06638 'IMPATIENT VIRGIN' - Kilo 6 - Paine Field
Another real 361st FG veteran restored recently by John Muszala of Pacific Fighters over 60 years after it was abandoned by Flight Officer Wade C. Ross and crashed at Hilgay in June 1945. Owned by John Sessions of Kilo 6 at Paine Field and was in 2008 winner of the best P-51 at the EAA Convention at Oshkosh. (Photos Brian Hennessey)

A real 361st FG veteran this mustang was delivered to the group in mid-1944 & was assigned to the 376th FS & became the aircraft of Lt. George R. Vanden Heuvel. He named it 'Mary Mine' and claimed 9 'kills'. After the war it passed through the RCAF & other private owners before Charles Kemp restored it to its former glory. (photo Steve Gotts)

After seeing service with the RCAF the aircraft passed through a number of owners before being bought by Chuck Greenhill and was restored to stock condition including guns, radios etc. After a chance meeting with Chuck Cummins the owner decided to have her repainted in his colours as 'Geraldine' of the 375th FS. (photo James P. After a career with the RCAF N151B passed through a variety of private owners before being purchased by Warbird Collector Bob Pond. It is painted in the markings of E2-S of the 375th FS which was flown by ace Urban Drew in the famous 4 ship photograph of July 1944. After a career with the RCAF this aircraft passed through a number of private owners which included 361st FG schemes such as E2-S  'Cutters  Capers' &E2-C 'Lou IV' before being purchased by Brian Reynolds. It was painted as E2-S of the the 375th FS & given the name 'American Beauty'. NL51KD is seen here at Oshkosh in August 1993.

Another RCAF veteran N167F passed through several owners before being purchased by Anders Saether and was operated as part of the Scandinavian Historic Flight. In 1999 it was painted as Urban Drew's 'Detroit Miss' of the 375th FS. N167F is seen here in February 2000.

This Mustang is on static display at USAFM Warner Robins AFB, however not much is known about its history. It is displayed in the colours of Wallace Hopkins' 374th FS machine 'Ferocious Frankie'.
